Gazprom denies reports on gas export agency contract with Rosneft
MOSCOW, May 5 (PRIME) -- Gazprom Export, Russian gas giant Gazprom’s export branch, has denied reports that it is working on an agency agreement to allow state-run oil major Rosneft to export natural gas to Europe through pipelines, a representative of Gazprom Export told PRIME on Thursday.
Daily Izvestiya reported earlier in the day that the Russian government would allow Rosneft to export 5–25 billion cubic meters of gas a year to Europe through pipelines, and the company was in work on an agency agreement with Gazprom Export.
“The information that Rosneft and Gazprom Export are working on an agency agreement on gas exports to Europe is incorrect,” the representative said.
